Project questions

Clear answers before the first line of code.

Scope, budget, ownership, AI and support: the questions that help make informed project decisions.

Planning and working together

How do you determine a project budget?

Budget depends on journeys, business rules, integrations, content and migration constraints. We clarify inclusions and dependencies before proposing a scope. Hosting, licences and API usage are identified separately where relevant.

What timeline should we expect?

The timeline depends on scope, content readiness, access and the people responsible for approvals. Stages and dependencies are defined during discovery; a standard deadline cannot replace that assessment.

When should we choose custom development over a CMS?

A CMS suits content and journeys it can manage cleanly. Custom development becomes useful for complex permissions, specific business rules or integrations that do not fit that model. The two approaches can also be combined.

Can we start with an MVP or a single journey?

Yes. An initial release can cover one useful task end to end, including data, permissions and acceptance criteria. Further features stay in a prioritised backlog rather than making the launch unnecessarily large.

Who owns the code, accounts and design files?

Rights, licences, provider accounts and handover files must be specified in the agreement. Third-party components retain their own licences. Access and documentation are planned for the agreed handover scope.

Can you take over our existing website or application?

A handover starts by reviewing code, access, dependencies, data and deployment options. This helps decide whether to maintain, improve incrementally or rebuild part of the system without assuming a complete redesign is necessary.

Is maintenance included?

Post-launch scope is explicit in the proposal or agreement: corrections, updates, monitoring and new features are different types of work. Service hours and any commitments are defined around the application and your needs.

What information is sent to AI providers?

That depends on the use case and selected architecture. We review necessary data, retention terms, access and sensitive actions before activation. This website’s public demonstrations are simulations with no AI model calls.

Do you guarantee security or SEO results?

We define and verify appropriate protections, but no solution eliminates every risk. Search rankings cannot be guaranteed either. Deliverables, checks and limitations are distinguished from results that depend on third parties or the market.

Can we support multiple languages and move hosting later?

Yes, when these needs are scoped early: content, routes, search and forms for languages; code, data, files and dependent services for portability. Translation costs and provider constraints are identified separately.
